With exquisite timing the intrepid travelers reached the South Rim in time to catch the reflected light of a stunning sunset
.Blair was stunned. I don’t think he believed me. No photos can do justice to the beauty of the place but here are a few as we gazed , mesmerized.
Needless to say it takes the selfie option to a whole new level
And at the end of the day you have this sunset….

Very proud to say that in 1969 on the July 4th weekend I hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up overnight with two US marines…and some other medical students! …Way to go, both of you!
