  1. It seems like you cast a long shadow – or is that just in the desert sun, I wonder…

  5. I have always loved those red socks I believe you went with you on your journey was for this special occasion… did you encounter any snakes or insects while in the desert??

    1. We were careful not to meet any

  6. And finally, as regards the red flowers — well they are Mexican, Noche Buena, from the South East, and named in English for the first US Ambassador to Mexico (Poinsett – Poinsettia ) who discovered them and took them to US ! 1830’s or thereabouts

  7. Remindes me of Egypt
    Beautiful

    1. Yes….nice picture

  8. Best choice of socks for the occasion!

  9. I have followed the dynamic duo for the past week trying to figure out what this twosome is up to, beyond eating and drinking their way across the US. Could it be that the next state up, Nevada, is the reason behind this trip, i.e. the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program is not closed and Garret and Ian are meeting their counterparts from outer space. We could not have picked a more representative group.

    1. Nevada has aliens, betting and brothels – all bad for Blair so we’ll bypass it and head for Needles
I have a duty of care
